CheckDrive

Checkdrive is a part of a scheme started in Cumbria and run in association with Age Concern and Capita.

It's a driving assessment aimed at mature drivers and comprises a relaxed and informal assessment by one of our local observers.

You will be invited to drive your own vehicle for around 30 - 40 minutes accompanied by one of our observers. Your route will cover a wide range of different road types and conditions.

After your drive, the observer will comment on and discuss your driving performance with you, as well as offering advice and recommendations.

Checkdrive is not a test so there's no pass or fail, just a great opportunity to discover how much more there is to driving. On completion of this assessment, you may feel inspired to prepare for the Advanced Driving Test.

Checkdrive is FREE to all drivers over 60 years of age and there is no requirement to join our group in order to participate.
